
GeoTins are metal boxes (usually empty Altoids tins) that can contain clues to caches, prizes, GeoTags or other goodies.
Although the GeoTin pictured here is painted silver, they come in all colors, including camouflage. The tins are painted to match their surroundings.

The
great thing about GeoTins is that magnets can be attached to them. Then
the entire GeoTin can be stuck to a metal sign, post or other item. They
can be attached to common objects in plain sight with little chance of being
accidentally discovered by non-geocachers.
In this picture, notice the GeoTin attached to the underside of the electrical box (red arrow).
